We are pleased to advise that recently the 8k, 10k, and 15k MultiPlus-II inverter chargers were fully approved for both on-grid and off-grid use.
For the remainder of our MultiPlus and Quattro product lines (the non-II inverter chargers), we are still seeking Clean Energy Council (CEC) certification. This is a strategic priority to ensure compliance and expand the accredited applications for these core products within the Australian off-grid market. However, please note that for these specific units, we will only be seeking off-grid certification moving forward.
This specific CEC approval will focus on the "Stand-Alone Inverter with AC Generator Input - Battery Only" category. This classification is crucial for the traditional off-grid applications where our MultiPlus and Quattro inverter/chargers excel, often working alongside a generator and a solar charge controller (like our SmartSolar MPPT range).
Achieving this CEC listing is vital as it:
Simplifies Compliance: It provides clear compliance assurance for installers and to meet various state and territory regulations.
Strengthens our Off-Grid Position: It reinforces the Victron Energy offering as the preferred solution for remote-area power systems, which is a key growth segment in the Australian market.
Supports Installer Accreditation: This clarity helps installers accredited by Solar Accreditation Australia ensure their system components meet the necessary product requirements.
We understand the importance of this certification for our partners in the Australian off-grid community. We are working closely with the relevant testing bodies and the CEC to expedite this process and will be seeking the specific "Stand-Alone" listing for the core models in the MultiPlus and larger Quattro ranges.
We will provide a firm update on expected completion and listing as soon as the certification is processed, and the products are formally added to the CEC approved list. In the interim, please continue to refer to our official product pages and the CEC's official website for the most current product approvals, including the widely approved MultiPlus-II models.
